  1. "If you board a train without a ticket valid for your entire journey or a valid Permit to Travel, you will be liable to pay a Penalty Fare of £20 or twice the appropriate single fare(whichever is the greater) to the next stop. You will also have to pay the appropriate full single fare to complete your journey as necessary."

A season ticket is not a valid ticket if somebody other than the named person is using it. Be honest and pay the fare - and don't give your season ticket to anybody else. Think of it this way: if enough people dodged fares, then who pays to keep the stations tidy, the trains clean, etc? YOU - the season ticket holder, and other people who DO pay their fares honestly.

  2. If somebody else is found to be using your season ticket they will be reported for irregular travel, the ticket will be taken off them and will not be returned to you unless you are found to be innocent of any wrongdoing.

Penalties will be a court case/fine in most cases.

  3. from?

  4. The season ticket will be withdrawn with no possible refund and if proved that you are both aware of the fraudulent use a hefty fine.

  5. You have the legal authority to tie them to the tracks and rub your hands in sadistic glee as the train approaches
