i've done alot of internet research and i'm getting varied answers from 0.15, 0.2 and 0.3. Which is it? please hurry, i have only today to do assignment!

to be more explicit when i say uncertainty, i mean the uncertainty needed to calculate the percentage error. and the flask is 250cm cubed

  1. It depends on the quality of the flask and on it's thickness.

It is often written explicitly in the catalogue.

However, the thickness of the flask is a reasonable guide.

I suggest: Look at the smallest graduation gap on the flask itself e.g. 10 ml. Divide that gap by 5, in this case, giving 2ml.

    Then the % error

    = (2X100)/250 per cent

    = 200/250 per cent

    = 800/1000 per cent

    = 0.8 %
