  1. it goes on your tax threashold so basically you are allowed to earn so much before tax. Mine at mo is just over 5,000. I am also single. Now everyone gets taxed at 20% after this amount

  3. You have a personal allowance that you are allowed to earn before tax of 5435 p.a

    after this you are Taxed 20% up to earnings of 36,000

    and 40% on earnings over 36,000 pa

    You also pay 11% National insurance on all earning over 105 per week (but under 770)
