I'm not sure what the answer is or where to find it.   Even if you can find a link, it won't be accurate.  There are people that would never admit to their racism.

Unfortunately for the U.S. , I think the number is to high and will cost Obama a shot at the Presidency.

This is hard to quantify, but I've heard some revealing stats.

In the primaries, about 15% of the population said race was "very important" to their decision.  Virtually all of that 15% voted against Obama.
