What is the percetion you have a NGO's?

do you feel that they do justice for the money they get, do they spend more on their quality of life like living allowances, travelling cost during their stay, for all the money they have got have they given back to society as much as they have got, is it family businss that goes from father to son yo comments

  1. NGOs (non-governmental organizations -- called nonprofits in the USA) vary in the degree of their credibility and quality of work, just like businesses. You can't make one statement about their work that will be universal. Some are run well, some are not.

    By far, in my experience, international NGO staff are not paid well, and the money for living allowances, traveling costs, etc. don't begin to cover the sacrifices they make to work in the field.

    I have, indeed, seen local NGOs that are not run well and the government does little to ensure they are spending money wisely. That's why I prefer to give to international NGOs, who screen these organizations, evaluate their work, and ensure that those they support are meeting certain criteria.
