  1. for girls 12 .........for periods...yes........

but 13 wud b perfect for s*x edu..........

the way this world is moving on ..............they really need to know about it,............before they  fall into something.......

m glad as a parent u want to talk, thats the best thing !!!

if u r thinkin they might b confused,........dont tell them all at a time..........

    move on slowly...........steadily.........

dont give in too much detail when they are 10 or something............

i had heard  from friends when i was 11 and had asked mom something and she had answered...............she told me all when i was 16 but i guess according to the place .......that would differ.......

starting early is good.........but the amount if information given should depend........

    hope i helped:-)

  2. You know there is no right age for s*x it comes when u and ur partner is ready it is when the body is full mature most likely around 15 14 to 16 years old. Just watch ur self and try to make sure u r ready

  3. I believe that the appropriate age should be around 10. I know that it may sound very young, but I was one of those kids who found out through friends at school. Not a cool way to find out may I add, I was 11 and a friend found out from an older cousin who was a sexually active teen. I believe you should find a book as a resource to explaining the "Birds and The Bees"

  4. Give them piece by piece as the grow older... Slowly add more technical things and actual mechanics behind it. Start with talking about love. Then move to mechanics. At the beginning of mechanics of it explain protection. Always answer there questions truthfully but choose how much detail you give out. Tell them to wait til they are much older... A lot.

Edit: I personally started learning when i was 9. I think its a good age. Again tho just choose how much you tell them.

  5. I would say maybe sixth grade (12 or 13). I would first start out talking to girls about periods and how there body works. How to use a tampon...etc. For the boys, Same (of course men don't get a period) lol

  6. I agree with the age of around 10-12. But start slowly and continue to educate them throughout the years. I mean look at all the questions on here from young kids asking if its ok to have s*x at 13 and asking if they are pregnant when they are still a virgin. Kids need to be more educated these days and not just a one time thing.

  7. grade 6 or 7

my parents or teachers never told me. i figured it out for myself, with that I had alot of confusion..I finally figured it out in grade six.

  8. I think ages 10 - 12, depending how mature the child is. You can start with the old explanation of where babies come from, then you could take out a book from the library (a child's book) and read it with them, or let them read it alone.

For girls, a interesting novel they could read is "Are you there God? It's me, Margaret." by Judy Blume. It opens the idea of puberty to a girl in an interested way. It is slightly religious.(Christian)

The boy version of "Are you there God? It's me, Margaret" is "Then Again, Maybe I Won't" by Judy Blume.
