What is the perfect beach weather?

Im thinking about going to the beach today because Ive been waiting for a while. the climate goes from cool to warm every other day and Im here in virginia where it's sort of on the humid side of things. Today it is going to be about 71 degrees F outside. I want to go to the beach so bad but Im not sure if this weather is good enough to actually go out in a bathing suit. Yes- Ive just recently turned into a beach bum so I dont really know much about the weather and it affecting the beach. Also- a week from now the weather is to reach a high of 80- is that good beach weather? It's supposed to be mostly sunny both days btw. thank you for your advice!! ^_^

I really feel the water is so cold and the wind blowing on you will be soo cold because of that!  I live in FL. and I've been wanting to go so bad but I know that ocean breeze is still freezing!!

high 80's and sunny is the best beach weather....only remember to put on the suntan oil to protect your skin....believe me you don't want to get skin cancer later in life!

I would imagine the water temperature would still be cold, but the air temperature seems about right. Probably great in Florida and it would be near to perfect in Southern California, but most of us Californians would normally wait until May before going out into the Sun in my opinion.
