  1. The perimeter of an acre square is 834.8 feet, making in a bit more than 208.7 feet to a side.  The shape of the acre will change this perimeter dimension.  The number of square feet in an acre is 43560 and, of course, doesn't change with shape.

  2. An acre is 43,560 square feet.  The perimeter measurement can vary greatly, for example 1 foot by 43,560 or 2 feet by 21,780 feet or 100 feet by 435.6 feet, etc   Perimeter is the outside edge, area is the stuff inside the perimeter.

  3. 4*43,560^0.5

    4 * (43 560^0.5) = 834.841302

  4. By definition perimeter is a linear measurement and cannot be expressed in square feet.
