Is it a standard for amateur rings, or does it vary?

It seems like a smaller ring would be an advantage to a slugger or infighter, and a larger one would be better for and out fighter.

  1. standard rings are 20X20 making an 80 ft perimeter. although many high profiled fighters choose the size of the ring to best suit their style of boxing. (example Sugar Ray Leonard chose a large ring when he fought Marvin Hagler in order to have room to move from the stalking style of Hagler.)

  2. rings are usually pretty standard about 20X20

  3. 20 x 20 ft

AND NO ITS ALL THE SAME

  4. 80ft

  5. there can be different size rings....its one of the things that must be decided in the signing of the fight, like brand of gloves, and referee.....guys who run alot, like bigger rings
