  1. The perimeter is the length of a shape's boundary.  Are these numbers supposed to be dimensions of a rectangle or something?

  2. Perimeters are usually defined for shapes and not numbers.

    Can you clarify?

    I mean, if we're dealing with a rectangle here where the length is 1.34 and the width is 0.7488, then the perimeter would be

    P = 2L + 2W

    So if L = 1.34 and W = 0.7488, then

    P = 2(1.34) + 2(0.7488)

    P = 2.68 + 1.4976

    P = 4.1776
