What is the phase switch for on my amplifier?

it says 0 to 180degrees. What does it do? I turn yet dont hear any difference.

  1. It is for the mounting of the sub. Either the basket of the sub where the terminals and magnet are go into the box, or you invert the sub and mount the basket outside of the box and the voice coil faces in to the box.

    You will select 0* for a normal mount with the basket inside the box. Select 180* if the sub is reversed.

    What this does is invert the wavelength of the electrical signal going from the amp to the sub. So instead of it first pulling the cone toward the magnet, it would push the cone away from the magnet or vice-versa

    You may not be able to hear the difference in some cases...
