  1. That may relate to either the aura or to so-called "Indigo children". Mystics who feel they can sense "auras" regard an indigo aura as indicative of being sensitive or deep-feeling. This is more of a religious belief than anything else and there is no evidence that "auras" even exist.

Regarding "Indigo Children", see the links below.

  2. TR nailed the who.  The what and why would depend on whether you believe the Indigo kids are an actuality.

Here are two different viewpoints and links you might follow up.  One's a skeptic, the other a true-believer.

    Indigo Children

Indigo children is the term used for children born in The New Time in the period from 1995 and forward. An immediate characteristic of these children is that they are born with a far stronger energy output and aura than their parents. These children are namely born with an indigo-colored aura which in its basic structure separates itself sharply from that of their parents and previous generations.

By the end of 2003 approximately 2.49 million Indigo Children were born in Scandinavia (Denmark/Norway/Sweden/Finland).

In addition to that figure around 2.42 million Scandinavian children were born in the transitional period from 1987 to 1995 whereby they were equipped with a composite aura containing elements from both the old time energy aura structure and the indigo aura respectively.

In the period 2004-2006 approximately 848.600 Scandinavian children were born with a mixture of the current indigo aura and the coming crystal aura.

By the beginning of 2007 there were therefore 5.77 million Scandinavian children with an aura structure different from their parents, unless their parents had chosen to get The New Time aura structure integrated through a permanent expansion of consciousness via an AuraTransformation session performed by a qualified Aura Mediator™.

The self-professed trainers claim that these boys and girls have the capability to see beyond the range of visible light - that is, they can see the ultraviolet and the infrared radiations, can listen to ultrasonic and infrasonic sounds, and can even hear their own blood circulation - something that any person could do - and even show what they claim to be some sort of outstanding tactile hypersensibility.

Maria Dolores Paoli, a specialist in something she calls Psychospirituality, assures us that indigo children, although the name may suggest it, do not have blue hued skins; they are called that because their aura, or power field, tends to reflect bluish --or indigo-- colors, that indicate they use their superior power centers more frequently.

Another description of the indigo children, made up by Connie Okelberry, and published at her indigo children website: www.indigochild.com, assigns them the following traits:

They come into the world with a feeling of royalty (and often act like it).

They have a feeling of "deserving to be here," and are surprised when others don't share that.

Self-worth is not a big issue. They often tell the parents "who they are."

They have difficulty with absolute authority (authority without explanation or choice).

They simply will not do certain things; for example, waiting in line is difficult for them.

They get frustrated with systems that are ritually oriented and don't require creative thought.

They often see better ways of doing things, both at home and in school, which makes them seem like "system busters" (not conforming to any system).

They seem antisocial unless they are with their own kind. If there are no others of similar consciousness around them, they often turn inward, feeling that no other human being understands them. School is often extremely difficult for them socially.

They will not respond to "guilt" discipline ("Wait till your father gets home and finds out what you did").

They are not shy in letting you know what they need.

A bunch of really spoiled brats if you ask me!
