What is the plastic "guide" piece at the bottom of a power window?

So my front driver side power window just decided to stop working yesterday. I can hear that it's trying to put it up and down but it seems to have come off track. Well I tore apart the door and found that along the bottom of my window is a channel with a small white piece of plastic that slides from left to right and it has a circular hole in it. Well...

On the motor side it slides up and down and it has a piece that fits right in there and when going up makes the whole thing slide to the right and the opposite for down. Anyway. I got the piece back in and it seemed fine for a few minutes but I think it came off again. I would just replace that white piece but I have no idea what it's called. It seems to be in the window guide channel at the very bottom of the glass.

btw. my car is a 1985 Oldsmobile 98 if that helps. Someone please help me out here b/c I have tried looking for that piece but I don't even know what it's called.

  1. to find out what parts are called go to a GM parts dept...they have books ans computers to show you...you may have to go junkyard or hemmingsmotornews.com for 20 year old parts.
