I understand that it is about the missing colony of Roanoke, but I was curious as to its actual plotline. I am currently writing a novel about my own theories as to what happened there, but I don't want to be called a "copycat" if it turns out that their plotline is very similar. Will someone who has seen it be awesome enough to clue me in?

  1. Hardly any main plot other than the historical portrayal of the events of discovery of the island, initiating the colonization, and some of the conflicts with Indians up until the disappearance of the colony.

The theory it went by was a combo of Spanish Armada activity in the nearby waters plus attacks from the Indians...thus they moved on further inland.

Main characters were (if I recall) John White, Sir Walter Raleigh, Queen Elizabeth, Wanchese, Manteo.
