What is the point of John McCrirrick ?

Is it just me or is he a totally unnecessary idiot? All the other presenters of Channel 4 racing (apart from Tommo) are knowledgable and interesting.

  1. Well he makes me laugh when I have seen him on Breeders Cup telecasts. It has nothing to do with horse racing knowledge which I assume he has some of. But it seems as if every horse he picks runs up the track, so I figure just bet against his pick and you have a chance


  2. The point of John McCrirrick is to provide a perfect example of how some of us prefer not to behave.

  3. I have asked this question myself many a time. He apparently spends all his time in bed when not at the race track and expects his poor wife Booby (poor woman) to wait on him hand and foot.

  4. Yes, he's brash, loud and confrontational but he is one of the most knowledgable members of the Channel 4 racing team. Francome and McGrath are both well informed but the rest of the team are awful.

  5. He is there to make you feel sick.  I have to turn off when he turns up on the screen. Just cannot abide the sight or sound of him.  Shame when so many other presenters are good and doing a superb job.  He just is not needed.

  6. he must know his stuff elsde he wouldnt have bin presenting all this time would he? he may be oppinionated, sexist, full of himself and generally so far up his own **** he's going round for a 3rd time but on thw whole atleast it gives any parents out there a chance to show their sons how not to act as a decent bloke

  7. He adds a bit of colour and he knows tick tack so he can jazz up a boring list of betting stats.

  8. although he's a right pain in the *** he does know his stuff but like you i think he is too over the top, and wish they would just retire him.
