  1. They've dumbed the game down supposedly to even the play, all they have done is create a farce. It's the same as one to one a ball can be taken from the opposing player. The game stinks now so I only watch union which is a much faster and cleaner game. League is supposed to have spectator appeal now, not for me. It's the same with formula 1, it evens the field and the excitement has gone, now we see cars in formation steaming around the track.

  2. It's a method of restarting the game, it used to be constested in both codes, but over the years it has become more of a farce especially at the top level. A scrimage in American Football is a corruption of the word scummage, it comes from the same set of rules originally.

League made the uncontested a while ago. Union is slowly killing the scum too. Look at the amount for feeding which goes on, wasn't like that before profesionalism.

  3. first of all i dont watch league but i'd say it would have to do with there arent as much players as union and league is a lot faster and if scrums were contested it would slow them down oh and union kicks the nuts out of league

  4. A uncontested scrum is the opportunity to the backs to move the ball and have the forwards placed in a position where they cannot influence the game too much at that point. Unlike when there is a contested scrum of course.

Oh and often a Scrum is uncontested in Union as well.

  5. when its not contested in union its normally because a front rowwer has gone off and the replacement itsnt big enough or strong enough to push. the point of it is so that the replcement dosent get hurt. 4 league im guessing that because the whole game is pussey the scrum has to be p***y as well.
