  1. any sportsman who fixes a sporting event should be shot

  2. look theres no doubt about it he is a great jockey luckley i didnt back any of the races in question but i can see were david g is coming from and yes i agree that racing will never be 100% straight i just think he fell into the wrong company its such a shame and a waste of talent but what about the punters who have lost money SURELY THEY DESERVE JUSTICE because one thing is for sure they arnt going to get there stakes back are they?

  3. I was present in the courtroom in the Sporting Life libel case brought by Jack Ramsden and Kieren Fallon when Derek Thompson told the jury that KF had told him (DT) that Top Cees, running in the Swaffham Handicap at Newmarket and which he had ridden, had been  a non trier, which was prior to its winning the Chester Cup.  The Sporting Life team thought this evidence would clinch the trial in their favour but for some unaccountable reason the judge told the jury not to pay much attention to it.

  4. have yet to meet a jockey who did not cheat at least once.

  5. He is one of the best jockeys ever to ride and it is a shame.

  6. 'As far as I know K Fallon has not fixed any MATCH'S' answer to your question :::because the sport is better with him, if you wanted to send everyone who tried to pull a fast one in racing to jail, the sport would end immediately.

to all  the P C Vegetarian tree hugging hippies You all are looking through rose tinted glass's if you think this sport is clean it NEVER has been & NEVER will be, the only reason we hear more about any wrong doing is because of modern technology.. accept the fact or watch/gamble on another sport

David g it would'nt of been worded differently

  7. lucky man 2 and wood your missing the point what about the punters he deceived its obvious you didnt lose any money on the races he fixed . if you had of done i suspect your answers would of been worded differently. i agree with gers4me we dont need bent jokeys.

wood.  i hear what you are saying and i know the sport isnt squeeky clean but if people like k fallon are found out and punished then it might make the rest of the fixers think twice

  8. i think his point is to sit on the horse and whip it to make it run fast so that it passes the finish line before all the other horses

  9. I think the point is that in racing you have owners,trainers,jockeys,officials,bookma... and punters. It has always been that an owner has a horse that is x good over x distance. He wants to make money from it. He employs a trainer, to get the horse to fitness to win a certain amount of races, where he can have a bet with the bookmakers and pay at least for the horses keep.

The trainer and/or the owner employ the jockey to ride the horse according to orders so that eventually they will be able to make money.

The officials are there to see that on the day the horse runs to its merits.

Now obviously in order to do the best for the owner, and quite legitimately, the trainer will run the horse over inappropriate distances, classes, and goings so that in the end, when all comes together they can make money.

It is up to the outsider, the punter, to try to second guess what is happening.

The problem arises, when an employee, the jockey, uses his inside information, or "stops" a horse on its day.

That is the problem with Fallon and co.

  10. 100% correct, racing over the years is littered with folk who deem it unnecessary to play by the rules.there is no place in the sport for these folk.it matters not how you sugar coat it,cheating is cheating and when it involves the hard earned money of general punters then it is completely out of order.
