...are too childish to have a mature, intelligent dialog about any topic related to politics? Ask a question on here and rarely do you get anything but partisan attacks or a diatribe about one party's virtues or the others failures. Again, what is the point?

  1. I ask myself that questions every time someone calls me a "stupid liberal who doesn't understand anything" anytime I prove my argument. Its just the sad reality  :-/

  2. Each party will do what some consider good and vise versa. Obama has a commercial that has McCain stating I think it is : I should understand more about the countries economics. To me this is a benifit to McCain.

It takes a big person that will admit they don't know everything. I'd rather here this, then them try to bs me with there ignorance.

Neither party ever really states what they have done. They point out the shortcomings of the other. I'd like to see someone just put out what they have done. Even point out things they might have made a mistake on.  Some point out that they flip flop on issues. If it's because they got more knowledge on th issue. Whats the problem.

Always the negative is pointed out, very rarely the positive.

  3. It's a little crazy right now because the Republican Convention just seems to be the gift that keeps on giving for the Democrats.

What else can fall out of the woodwork?

  4. There is no point. You can try to talk with the other side, but no matter what it comes down to "I'm right and you're wrong," which people never like to hear. Politicians want us to make attacks on the other party, it keeps us from talking about stuff that actually matters.

  5. I can understand...It's starting to affect me and my answers and questions.....that's it...until Yahoo..cleans this up I'm outta here.

  6. Most who post here are incapable of intelligent discussion.  I come here when I need a good laugh.  There are many other boards where real discussion can be held.

  7. I rather agree with "asking" (first poster).  If you have a problem with it, then why are you here?

I'm here to be entertained.  I'm here to see just how creative these attacks can get; and also to accept the challenge of seeing if I can strike down their claims (on either side) by being witty myself.

Or more accurately, I am wondering if I can be the biggest smart*ss in a room full of smart*sses.

  8. It's all because them fascist communist "democrap" god haters want to kill everyone before they're born and shake hands with their atheist muslim friends and vote in Osama Obama and destroy this Christian Nation.

And on the other side, we have people who refuse to acknowledge history and the Constitution, won't recognize basic human rights or support education for all people, want to cut taxes without reducing spending, and use war in place of diplomacy.

Seriously, how can two such sides meet on equal ground to discuss issues?  Only when people approach a problem with a rational and educated mind can they discuss their opposing viewpoints without resorting to name-calling and lies.

  9. Why ya here then?

  10. Maybe if you wouldn't begin the question by calling "everybody" names, you would get better results.

  11. Just don't answer the questions that are obviously trivial personal attacks that have nothing to do with the real issues.

Simple as that - they get no answers and they get bored and go away.
