I keep reading stories about animals (which are predators like certain types of tigers etc.) that are being killed by humans. But what is the point of protecting endangered species which are violent by nature? There is only 1 charles manson, nobody else on earth is like him....does that mean we should also try to protect him before we lose the only charles manson that the world has? what do you think about this?

  1. When an animal becomes endangered or extinct, te food chain cycle is severely disrupted and so is the environmental stability.

Let us use the algae-fish-man example...

Say for instance that algaes and other stuff that fishes eat get aendangered and extinct. Tendency is that fishes would soon follow extinction. So as result man would npot be able to eat fish therefore a disruption in the normal food chain happens...

This is not at all good for not all predators mean harm.. most predators control the population of their preys such as the snake and the rat...

CARE FOR THE EARTH... WE ONLY HAVE ONE!

  2. Your well being untimatly depends on a healthy ecosystem. Our ecosystem has developed over long timescales to support us (look  up James lovelock Gaia) taking out any part of that system will lead to unknown concequences

Imagine being in a spaceship and removing parts of the life support system - kind of stupid?

    think spaceship earth.

try reading "a sand country almanac" especially the last chapter "thinking like a mountain" http://www.amazon.co.uk/County-Almanac-O...

  3. Like PEACE says.What the----are you stupid

  4. Google the Kaibab Plateau for a horrible example of what happened when the deer population exploded because predators were killed off.

  5. 1)Animals are known as the "protectors of nature" because they protect the greenery of the jungles by scaring off unwanted means.

2)They mantain the food chain which plays an important role.

example: Vegetation>>Deer>>Tiger>>Decomposers. So,If the Tigers are killed by poaching, there will be no one to kill the deers, because of this, the deers will move freely and expand in number. When the deers will expand in number, they will eat up all the vegetation and the trees will be gone. When the food is gone, then naturally the deers will also die which will result in the depletionof the whole jungle.

3)The Animals also help in pollination of seeds.

    4)Animals give us important products.Example:Honey,Wool,Silk.etc.

5)The animals help in mantaining the beauty of the jungle naturally, thus,we should help them to preserve the natural riches.

Animals, are a very important section of the biological cycle, extinction or any disterbence may lead to fatal consequences.

  6. It's because of balance in the ecosystem.  There have to be predators in order to keep the prey in check and therefor keep food supplies in check, etc.

If one predator eliminates another one we can live with that, but only if the new predator performs all the same functions in nature.  If not, nature gets thrown out of balance.

Reasonable question, but your Manson analogy is a bit extreme.

  7. They are at the head of the food chain and are necessary to keep down the population of other animals. That's the way the food chain works.

  8. how fkkkknnnnnnn stupid!!!!!!!!!!!!!
