  1. The point of the Preseason is for coaches to experiment with their players, looking to see whos going to start and whos coming off the bench. It helps teamates to get a filling of each other and how they play.  


  2. To get you in shape and ready to play when the real season starts

  3. practice, learn the offense and defense, and cut the team down to the final roster.  its actually necessary.  

  4. Teams use it to figure out which players to keep and which to cut.  The wins and losses don't count and really don't mean that much at all most of the time.

  5. To see how backups do in games.  There are around 75 people on the roster right now.  By the start of the season there will be only 53.

  6. for practice and to c what players they should play and which ones they should bench

  7. conditioning, practice, finding starters, and cutting the bad players

  8. To prepare for the regular season.
