  1. Check out Wikipedia...I think it's actually illegal to listen into them in the UK though..

  2. Because Internet traffic can be traced... the poacher and all the other number stations still can't be Ided in who is receiving the broadcast.

The word on them is that they are coded messages for agents in foreign territory.

Best info on them for people not educated on them is this:

  3. The number is HIGHLY important actually. It is the frequency in which your station goes out on. If a receiver is tuned into the frequency it will only pick up what is on it. Also It is a range on the Electromagnetic spectrum and the number is where it is place on the use able point on it. Also the first 10 frequencies used in a town or state are reserved for only commercial free stations.

  4. They are programs. Some you'll like, others you won't. There is not necessarily a "point" to anything that has to do with content or entertainment. Some like it, some don't. That's why there's chocolate AND vanilla.

  5. we all like different things,so we have so many station to pick from, some are aged at the older members of the public, some are mainly chat shows, some for sport, weather, modern music then blast from the past, then you get rock, pop and so on.

we all tune into what we like best and what i like best you might hate
