I am 65 and have been doing answers for about a month:  I have learned a lot since starting.  I look up words, expressions etc.  I read others answers and I discovered to my shame, (through check spelling) that my spelling must have been atrocious before now.  I find it far better than watching television (other than House, The Simpsons and Eastenders).  In all it has given me a good kick up the backside.  With my experiences in life, the type of work I used to do, my expertise in golf, I feel that I can contribute to what I call the debate.  Who cares about prizes, there is no such thing as a free meal.........
