  1. We can strenghten our ecosystem to fight it successfully.

  2. No such word as can't.

It also would depend on how you would feel in the future when the planets ecosystem breaks down and you find out it could have been prevented.

Basically taking action today to stop global warming is a precautionary measure as the evidence from glaciers, temperature rises. climate change models indicates that the warming we are seeing is outside natural parameters.

The same models based on the temperature rises also predict that by taking action today, then global warming can be reduced.  This is why many people are saying that we have to act now.

It is largely those with vested financial interests in today who don't want to see rapid change (unless they have invested in renewable technologies).

  3. we can't stop it, you're right, but we CAN reduce it by cutting down on our use of natural resources and by reducing our pollution.

  4. Hence the dirty little secret with the MMGW movement... we can't stop it no matter what we do.

Happily, since its part of a cycle we don't need to worry about it.

  5. The point is to stop using up our resources at an unsustainable rate. Whether it will stop global warming is null. We have to be responsible for what we do to the earth, that is, assuming we want to continue inhabiting it.

  6. we can slow it down so it doesnt destroy OUR generation.
