  1. Well, where I live in Western US, most agencies use 2-11.

  2. some use 10-Codes...some just use plain english to avoid the confusion...at my agency, we would just say "Robbery in Progress"

  3. In CA, the Penal Code for a robbery is section 211.  The police often use this number to communicate a 211 (robbery) in progress.  As for armed with a firearm/gun, that is Penal Code section 12022. et al., but the broadcast is simply suspect armed.

  4. 1 Adam 12, 1 Adam 12, 2-11 in progress, handle Code 3, 1 Adam 12 out...

  5. 211

  6. i think its like 411 or 409. i saw it on street kings yesterday lol, all i know is its 400 somthing.

  7. It's not the same everywhere. But most places the "in progress" part is indicated by the words "in progress."

  8. 123 P0WER RANGERS GO!

  9. There is no official "police code" for different crimes other than the Police 10 code which isn't used all that much anymore. Any department can change to whatever code they want to use for any specific crime. They just gotta make sure everyone gets the updates.

At times we didn't get the updates. I got sent to a dead body call at a local restaurant, when in reality it was an alarm at a car dealership across town. Not only did they change the crime codes. they changed the number codes for each business. Didn't notify anyone but the day shift that was working that day. The guy responsible.....he became Chief.
