What is the policy for personal leave in the Army?

How many leave days can you take at one time? If you are active duty.

  1. It's mostly death in the family or severe sickness. Anything else is not considered mandatory.


  2. It all depends on your units needs but not usually no more than three weeks or so if you even get that. And dont believe people that tell you the military can't refuse your leave  they TECHNICALLY can't but will give you "alternate" days but for the most part your unit will do everything they can to accomodate you unless your a sh&tbird!!

  3. You accrue it at the rate  of 2.5 days per month.  How many days you can take at a time depends on the needs of your unit and the amount of time you have accumulated.

  4. You "request" leave through the Commanding Officer. He can approve or deny all or part of it depending on the units needs for personnel.
