  2. It's not political At all. Its intellectual. The ever so slight climate change that is going on right now is part of the natural cooling and warming process that the good mother earth goes through all by herself. You are insignificant. You have nothing to do with it and there is nothing you can do to influence it.

The only thing you can connect to a political party would be the democrats instilling fear into the non-intellectual among us and use it a s a new revenue source.  If everyone would get their head out of their rear ends and think for themselves we could stop this big money grab.

    Think about it.......................

Al gore said the debate is over...........don't think...........

    just listen and obey.........................

Sounds spooky to me. I'll listen to science (not ones on the global warming payroll) before I'll listen to a politician..

  3. As a denier myself, I am against AGW since there has been no scientific study which proves we are the cause. The only thing they use are "models" which are programed to have CO2 drive the temperature, even though in real life, this has never been shown to be true.

The real politics comes in from the AGW fanatics. They have no logical basis to back up the claim of man made global warming, so they use politics and rhetoric to try and win the arguement. Here are the main arguements the AGW fanatics use  (which you hear all the time here):

    1. Consensus - Some scientist believe in it, some do not. But there is definitely no consensus.

    2. The debate is over - There has NEVER been any real debate. They are afraid to actually have main stream media debates. They say they do not want to legitimize the "deniers", but if the science backed them up, they would be happy to debate.

    3. Deniers are paid by big oil - Sure some scientist are paid by oil and other companies, some are not. So what? That does not mean there research is in any way invalid. Many AGW fanatics are paid by IPCC, which is probably the most  biased for man made climate change (or else there would be no need for the IPCC).

    4. Some of the deniers are not "real" climatologist - This is true. Many are geologist, statasticians, biologist, etc. There are many areas to study which relate to climate. Example, geologist are able to discover historical temperature data, where climatologists can not. All IPCC reports ever written (the bible for AGW loons) have a variety of scientist, and even many economists and lawyers, etc. If the deniers used this reasoning, then all IPCC reports would be thrown in the trash.

    5. Deniers never use peer reviewed studies - This is blatantly a lie. Many of the studies are peer reviewed and in prestigious journals etc. They may not be published in Science and Nature as these periodicals are more geared toward the public. Also, these periodicals do not print anything that does not meet their agenda (AGW). Also, many AGW scientist use their coauthors as "reviewers". Obviously a conflict of interest. On several studies, they have hidden their methods from the public in a way as to discourage actual peer review (ex: NASA's temp data, which was found to be wrong).

    6. Attack the scientist, not the science - When an Opposing study is published, the AGW fanatics go after the scientists as a person, not the study. You will often find them belittling the opposing person, not the opposing science.

As for the politics, AGW is a perfect vehicle for governments to acquire additional tax revenue. Also, poorer countries sign on in the hopes of collecting money from richer nations.

many of you may disbeive what I have written. But, if you pay attention to the news and other postings, you will find what I have typed as true. Also, has anyone ever noticed that they (AGW loons) NEVER say anything about the benefits of warming (and there are many).

  4. I didn't entered this arena with any political intent. It just gets thrust upon you whether you want it or not.I have never been convinced that GW exist in the way stated by proponents. If they could lay this issues aside and focus on more important matters, that would be great.I've always felt local level influence would have a greater impact of solving environmental problems. It's once things get to the upper levels of bureaucratic hierarchy, things get distorted and rearranged into meaningless mandates, judicial juxtaposition's,and corporate corruption.

Thanks for the rant,it made my day.

  5. I think the deniers are political motivated because they usually call the information from the scientific organizations that prove climate change is reality Liberal. They normally give the name Liberal to any information that disagrees with what they believe.

  6. its a natural thing that's been hijacked by the government to create employment & rip us off for more taxes, its all part of keepig the economy going.

  7. No we are not political the alarmist are.

  8. I believe the scientists who say that the Climate Change is part of a natural cycle.  I have researched the history of the past climates and the scientific causes of them as well as the results.

When the climate was warmer there was more rain and less desert.  There was also less frozen tundra.  There were more animals and plants living in places where they can't now.

There are people to whom any change is seen as bad.  Dam a river that has trout in it and they will oppose it because the environment in the lake formed by the dam won't support trout.  The fact that the lake is a new environment that will support bass doesn't matter.  To them, all environmental change is bad and if caused by Man it is a disaster.

Next look at what political parties are supported by these environmentalists.  Predominately Leftist.  Look at which politicians feed the Global Warming, "We've just got to do SOMETHING or we'll all DIE!" hysteria, again predominately Leftist.  Then ask what is in it for the Left?  Power, money, control is what they want.

More conservative, more freedom-minded people and politicians resist being stampeded into things which will restrict freedom, give more power to government and cost money [ie. taxes].  Mostly because the remedies are expensive and have no guarantee of preventing GW.

Also scary is the way the True Believers in GW treat those who disagree, saying they are crazy, stupid, need to just shut up, should be forced to shut up, do not deserve to have jobs, should not have their arguments published, should be locked up in asylums and then label them as Deniers so they can easily be written off as those who deny the Truth.  What next, burning at the stake and burning the books?

  9. its from a general belief that everything governments tell you is a lie.  And i can see where they are coming from, but when it comes to it very few actually have any basis for not believing in climate change, they just want to be difficult i think.

  10. Much of it is political because some conservatives think that anything 'liberal' is automatically bad, and they've associated global warming as a liberal issue.  Plus global warming is going to require government regulation, and conservatives tend to hate government.

The funny thing is that the majority of conservatives acknowledge that global warming is a problem caused by humans which we need to address, and yet the deniers claim that it's a liberal issue.
