What is the popular food in New Orleans?

I saw the news about harricane, and the black woman of the restaurant in New Orleans speaks about Katrina. At the same time, it shows some great meals she cooks. It looks really good...definitely yammy...wanna eat them. Where could I eat them? She cooks nice colored sauce...mushed potatoes.

I don't know what she was cooking, but the traditrional cuisine of New Orleans is Creole style:
