Asking that on this site is taking the easy way out.  As a student, you need to learn how to do your own research, not ask people online to do it for you.  And learn how to spell - that would be UNITED States.  Now, go to the library, or go to an online encyclopedia and find the answer.

I had no clue that the "UNINTED STATES" was a nation. It does not exist and never has. I know I live in the UNITED STATES, which has a population of over 300 million. I have no idea what is so hard about looking up your question on yahoo or google. Andrea is right, you should do your own research and not rely on others to do homework for you. I can understand asking a question about a subject you don't learn in school or an answer that you cant find anywhere.
