  2. The closest ferry terminal to Bothell is Anacortes, about 75 miles north. Washington State ferries runs daily ferries to and from Sidney, BC, about 45 minutes drive to Victoria, via the San Juan islands, a really nice couple of hours on the boat. If you plan to make the trip in summer, you need advance reservations as it is a  very popular route.
