There isn't ONE typical clothing, Portugal is a smal country but it's 900 years old, it has many and very different regions each with it's own culture. Typically there are 13 provinces in Portugal (including the islands, Madeira and Azores) and each one of them has the typical clothing for the poor and for the rich, for working in the fields and to go to church on sundays, to marry, etc, etc, etc...

You mean wool?  I can't find anything typical under Portuguese textiles, but I bought a couple of woolen pieces in typical Portuguese styles, when I was there.
