What is the position of 'Aulia' (friends of Allah (SWT)) ?

Aulia are saintly persons who unreaservedly adhere to the ways of Islam, are very much self-sacrificing and have great love for the ways of the Prophet(SAW).

Their spiritual power is much more higher than others, and they have in them greater developed soul force.

It is said due to detached persuit of the Prophet's(SAW) way of life, they develop close proximity and resemblance to him.

The following are some of the well known Saints (Sufis):

Shaikh 'Abdul Qadir Jeelani, Khwaja Hassan Basri, Khwaja Moi'nuddin Chishti, etcetera...

When they reach high pinnacle of sublimity this is called "Karamat".

Aulia-e-Allah have a great position in Islam. They are the friend of Allah just because that they created a relationship between them and Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). You can take spiritual teachings from them. Qur'an says: "O those who don't know, ask from those who know" (Al Qur'an). Miracles are the best way to recognize them. Remember that there are many people who will say you that they're the Wali, most of them are fraud. So it is not easy to recognize them. But when you meat some real Wali you can understand just at one sight that he is the real one. p**i Wang's answer has been deleted. I don't know why we don't report these types of answers as Yahoo! is really good to make Muslim users happy, because it knows that if we stop using their products their 2/3 part of business will be wiped off.

I think that we don't have such thing in Islam .

we  walk the path of our prophet peace be upon him , and his companions .

you can copy the good Islamic acts that you hear or see

the prophet himself said : never glorify me like what happened with jesus but say allah slave and messenger.
