What is the possition for smokers on cruises after july 1?

I heard they can't stop you from smoking in your rooms and on one side of the boat when up on the decks. Also  you can still smoke in casino and bars.

Within the UK (3 miles from land) they have to follow the new law, other than that its up to the companies discretion.  P & O are applying the law throughout the cruise.

unless the ships master has posted his own rules then when 3 miles out the law of this country ceases to be valid

If it's a British flagged ship in British territorial waters, you can only smoke on deck and in your own cabin.  Since most cruises involve neither,  the new rules won't make much difference.

prob be able to smoke on the deck.. just not inside... or they will have smoking areas...
