Question:

What is the present climate of opinion about whether men landed on the Moon

I assume they did, for loads of reasons, but suddenly, nearly 40 years later, it seems to have become a popular subject again.

What do you think? (-if you can manage it without insulting the opposite opinion, so much the better).

  1. VERY GOOD QUESTION,I SAW THIS SHOW ON TV AND THEY WERE INTERVIEWING I BELIEVE A  SCIENTIST AND HE SHOWED THAT THE FLAG ON THE MOON WAS BLOWING,BUT THEIR IS NO WIND ON THE MOON,THAT PROVES ONCE AND FOR ALL THAT WAS A STAGED EVENT,TO GET ONE ON THE RUSSIANS!

  2. I suspect this corresponds with the mendacity of the current and past US government statements related to US foreign policy and environmental issues. Remember that days after 9/11 the EPA was saying that the NYC air was safe to breathe. Now we have untold numbers of early responders with life-threatening breathing problems and other health issues. The government has lost every shred of credibility.

I was reminded of the early suspicions when I saw a NASA space suit and capsule. The astronauts were not adequately protected from solar radiation and would not have survived the trip. The first trips were during a time of maximum solar flairs and had just thin layers of aluminum were protecting them. Other space walks have been done under the protection of low earth orbit.

Also, it's absurd that they did not take pictures of the stars from the moon's surface. Without atmosphere, the images of the stars would have been the deepest that humans had seen into the universe. Someone responded that they simply didn't think of it. It's easy to set a camera with the correct aperature and exposure. It would have been a huge scientific bonanza and would have been proof positive of the success of the trip.

Photographic evidence is not convincing at all. We have multiple light sources and the fact that the film in the camera would have been spoiled from radiation. The camera was not modified to protect it from radiation.

You don't need to be a conspiracy buff to learn that the US government lies. Just read some of the research of Professor Noam Chomsky. By the way, Chomsky will not dirty his reputaion on theories about a fake moon landing or a 9/11 demolition. He has far more damaging evidence that the government lies and the media covers up.

Given the poor track record of the US government and media, seemingly absurd and extraordinary claims that conspiracies occured should not be dismissed without some investigation. Remember that most crimes in this country are conspiracies. Citizens need to hold their government accountable. We already know that some CIA black ops take advantage of criminal groups.

What is more remarkable is when the government and media decide to tell the unadulterated truth.

  3. Most Americans believe that we landed on the moon, most Americans trust their government. Most of the world does not believe we went to the moon, and most of the world does not trust the US government. The most telling fact in the question of going or not lies in the fact that since the rest of the world developed the technology to track us there and back, we have not went. Not only have we not sent manned craft to the moon, we have not even sent a probe there and back. The techonology exists to send the probe there but it does not exist to bring it back after landing on the moon.

  4. This is the most idiotic "theory" to come along in decades. Most of the people who think it was all a hoax don't have the education to successfully operate a can opener let alone contemplate space hardware and physics. All of the so-called "proofs" can be easily explained by someone with a decent education in physics. Consider that keeping something like that covered up would be harder and more expensive than actually going to the moon. We're talking about a government that can't even keep the president's love affairs secret. Give me a break.

  5. There is no possible way we landed on the moon.
