I want to know about the present job availabe.

Is this industry booming?

Is it fruitful to get into this profession?

Is it easy to make into some good airline nowdays?

I would really thankful and appreciate if a pilot (or anybody who has the knowledge about this) answer my questions.

  1. Better pick the right airline to work for. Many wont be around in ten years. Make that five years. And you don't start over as captain again. Back to the bottom. I ain't buying dats webster's outlook. There are just way to many airline seats and nobody makes money. The airplanes being bought are for replacing older less efficient technology. Guess we'll see who's right but I'm happy to have made it to retirement.

  2. John is correct in my view. You won't know the answer to your question until the day you retire. If you don't pursue the career you may wish you had. But what industry do you have a guarantee or for that matter in anything you do. The old saying "The only guarantee in life are death and taxes"

  3. It's fruitful but not easy. But you can make the way easy by being your best and exceed the maximum requirements needed by the airline you want to fly for.

The airline industry is booming and it is said at least 200,000 pilots more will be needed by the year 2025 and onwards. Many will also be retiring so i guess more than 200,000 pilots will be needed. This number is only for the civil aviation side.  More  planes are being made and more will be made! Air travel's hazard to the environment is just 2% whilst trains, cars etc constitute about over 45% and the rest is the activies of humans.(factories etc). I hope you know many airlines have ordered planes to be delivered from now extending into 2020! Others are waiting to order new planes!

Comrade, now is the time to start training professionally. Be the best you can. Get your 4-year college degree, go for flight training and come out looking fit for flying.

  4. its "fruitful" but not easy.

it is costly..........very costly and a lot of people want to become pilots. the industry is growing
