You've put it very generally, and thereby your question opens a number of dimensions.  In general terms, India is growing, developing and doing good in economic terms.  Simultaneously, we are facing the results of capitalisation, increased rich-poor rift, cultural pollution, decline in human values is on the rise.  Besides we face security related problems from within the country as well as from outside.

1. climate:   hot summer..no water in well..drinking water

                    scarcity.  No rain.  hot air. unable to travel in

                    day.   usage of electricity more.  cool air comes

2.  Rail:        25000 crores profit.  reduction in raliway fares

                     There is a provision for internet and TV in rails.

3.  Agriculture:  4 crores of farmers will get benefit by waiver of

                       loan totally to 50000 thousand crores.  3 crores

                       small farmers and 1 crore marginal farmers.

                       Action taken to supply seeds of rice, wheat, cotton

                       and other seeds to farmers

4.  Food          Food corporation of india procured need food and

                       we have stable position.

5. Industries    To develope industries, there are many schemes

                        introduced.  manufacturing growth increased by

                         9.4% than last year.

6. Defence       !0% increase than last year. 1,05,600 crores

                         allocated to this year for defence.

7.  Games         624 crores allocated for games, besides for

                           participants in the olympics special fund

                           raised.

For govt staff, the 6th pay commission report accepted and proper fund allocated,. forest conservation, tiger conservation made.  stock market position stable.  you can get loan from the bank for purchasing auto, 2 wheelers, car, education, agri etc.,

Incometax rates reducted from last year.  For the income upto

Rs.1,50,000/- no incometax. this is for males,  for females there is no incometax upto 1,80,000/-  for pensioners upto 2,25,000/- no incometax.  Insurance benefit for loss and injuries as usual.

Besides above, excise tax, sales tax are upto satisfaction.  

India is the  6th largest democracy in the world.  it has rich resources.  very kind and innocent people.  The traditions and cultures are same with some slight differences.  we the secular of state are living without any communal fights, since we love all religions.  

political:  The political parties ruins the country.  No co-operation between states.  Always fights.  The ministers are not for public and they are always for their welfare.  No one party rule and hence, no stable governments.  The communists are always threatening to withdraw support, but not withdrawing the support. The DMK minister T.R.Baalu misusing his ministership for his personal use.  our finance minister is worrying about the rich and not poor.  The banks are threatening the poor to remit the loans amount of rupees below 20,000/-  whereas the same banks salutes the richman who forgets the loan and bank also forgets and thus crores and crores of amount are pending to collect and sometimes it is waived and rich are benefitted.  The film induastries are normal, but language problem are there.  petrol price hike are on increase and no reduce.  This is the present position or situation of india.
