  1. I'm in Illinois in the U.S.A.

A pound of standard conventional red apples is $1.29 or so.

A pound of conventional cherries is $1.99-3.99.

Oranges can run as much as a dollar a piece, especially out of season.

Bananas are around 70 cents a pound, organic around 90 cents a pound.

Blackberries, blueberries and raspberries are 3-4 dollars per 6 ounces.

Strawberries are 2-3 dollars a pound.

  2. Um, it really depends on the type of fruit you are looking for. Usually a pound of apples cost about five bucks where I live. It all depends on the area. Try google-ing it.
