Currently, the price of regular in the Dallas , TX area is $3,89  That is about a dollar more than the same time last year.

We pay about $4 to $4.50 (max) around here.   This is a big country so the price varies a lot.

I think you've been in England too long. It used 2b dirt cheap but recently its been driven up by power hungry democrats to about $4.50+ per gallon. Call us spoiled but we really don't have to have it this high. I feel worse for you though!

I filled up my car in the UK the other day and if it was in dollars it would have been $130.

If it makes you feel any better, Americans actually consume upwards of three times as much gasoline as the typical European (we have larger cars with larger engines and longer commutes). Even though gas is much more expensive there, the typical American spends a lot more money on it than the typical European.
