I need to put in about 51 linear feet of black chain link fence to completely fence my yard in. Both my neighbours have already fenced theirs. I'm in southwestern Ontario

  1. If you hire it done-- estimate-- about $350

  2. places typically charge between $15 and $30 per foot of fence installed. It also depends on how high the fence is going to be, if you want bottom and top rails, what size rails and posts you want, where they are to be installed (concrete, soil, etc) How they are to be installed and if they have to jack hammer concrete to set posts or simply anchor with screws, etc. Call at least three contractors out to give you estimates then check them out for licensing and the like with your local better business bureau.

  3. Prices vary a lot on fencing - even on chain link.

It also costs nothing to call a contractor and ask. As they usually leave a small plaque on jobs they do, just look at the neighbor's fence, get their number and call them and ask.

You can also ask the neighbor what he paid.

Try the fence calculator at http://www.fencecenter.com/chainlink/

    Good luck.
