  1. Sounds like a good price.  I don't know if the other guy made a typo but gun prices at the gun show are a lot cheaper than anywhere else.  Also, don't listen to anyone that doesn't speak highly of a Taurus.  He's just regurgitating something that he heard someone else say.

Yea...there might be some differences is guns if you shoot 10,000 rounds or more thru one, but come on...most people are not going to put their gun thru that much of a test.  You've made a fine choice.

Beretta's are a good gun...I have numerous ones...but look at the Beretta 92fs and it's counter point in a Taurus.  Except for the money difference they are practically the same gun.

I personally think too many guns are mislabeled "cheap" or some other derogatory term.   The secret is to shoot good, quality, ammunition.  Stick with Federal and Winchester.  Stay away from Wolf, Blazer, etc...or reloads.

  2. Taurus sucks, but $319 seems to be the going rate...

It's a Baretta knock off, and they knock of Rugers too...You get what you pay for, but my experience has been that Taurus sucks, especially their revolvers that jam and fail to cycle.

I'll take my Glock G22 and G27 any day...Never wasting money on another Taurus.

    Just my 2 cents.

  3. Taurus PT 111 NIB $320 blue, $330 Stainless and $420 Titanium.

It is New In the Box wasn't it?

  4. you got a good deal. but let me tell you of  mke of handgun which i promote, and i am sure i will draw mhc critisism. hi point firearems. they are ugly heavy, but they are reliable from my experience. iin some places you can get a brand new 380 automatic for only $80. a 9mm for just over $100, or a 45 for around the $150 mark. theses weapons are also 100% american made, and alos come with a,life time warranty. there would be thiose that would call them junk, but more often than not these are the people that rely on heresay, rather than handson experience.

  5. That's about right. I've seen them used for about $300. I bought a Taurus PT 908 for only $200 from a friend though and it works great.

  6. Yeah, that's a pretty normal price.

  7. That was a good price, most Taurus PT 111's are selling for a higher price.

  8. That sounds about right. Gunshows usually have much higher prices than anyone else.

  9. Taurus's have a great reputation. As far as I know, they are the ONLY handgun that offers a warranty for the lifetime of the GUN as opposed to lifetime of the original owner.....!

    they're not Beretta "Knock Offs"

the Taurus PT-92 models are made in a BERETTA FACTORY (Literally)

Beretta landed a contract to provide Brazilian military 9mm's. when contract ended, the sold the factory and ALL The machining tools (dies, etc) to Taurus.

your price for the gun you bought seems reasonable.
