What is the probability of a score of 18 on an entire round of golf?

i was just wondering whether it would be possible to get 18 hole in ones, and if so, what the probability of it would be

Impossible. There are par 5's that dogleg and you can't drive a ball far enough or accurate enough to even come close.

It's impossible to give odds of such an event because it doesn't depend on known variables -- assuming, at least, a human player is the one playing the round.

A similar predicament would be if I were shooting a gun at a target.  If I asked what the odds were of me hitting the target on the next shot, you could not give an answer because there are no known variables.  I may not even *try* to hit the target, for all you know.

If a machine were playing the round of golf and we know the statistics of the machine's accuracy, then an answer would be possible.
