What is the problem when your tv dims a little bit from darker to lighter? it just started dimming when i got?

when i got dvr! could that be why?

  1. I had this happen to my tv it ended up being the internal power regulator.  In other words the power cord on the circuit board.

    But I have a 60 inch Philips Magnavox rear projection screen tv.

    This tvs' repair bill was $375 but well worth it for me.

Look in the menus and see if you can find an IRIS.  If it has auto IRIS turn it to high (seems to be the best picture) or which ever setting you prefer.  Just take it off AUTO.  As far as it happening after getting DVR I'd ask if it was hooked up to a different input?  The settings in the customers menu are saved in each input--therefore it may have been on auto in the different input settings.

  3. Please give more details. What do you mean by dvr. Darker to lighter is not dimming. Lighter to darker is called dimming. Did you mean change in brightness.
