It has a 2.2L ULEV Vtec engine, with an automatic transmission and has 121,000 miles. I drove it to a town about 60 miles away. On my way back it would shut off and then back on while moving. I opened the gas cap to let extra air in and it turned back on and got me home safe. It usually does the problem when it heats up a bit. It heats up pretty quick because where I live the temp has been in the 90's for a whileI think it might be the fuel filter or pump. Any ideas on what the problem could be would really help.

  1. you have a problem with the ignition switch.  Honda had a recall on the car for that problem.  the car just cuts out while driving as though you shut the key off.  it will usually start right back up again.

take your car to any Honda dealer and they will repair the problem at no charge.  recalls go on forever so the age and the mileage have no bearing on the repair.  they will do it free of charge.

    hope that helps

  2. that is typical of a weak fuel pump. Take it to the shop and have it repaired.
