  1. Establish a theory.

Perform a lot of experimentations based on that theory.

Have a control group and an experimental groups.

    Form a conclusion.

    Document findings.

Cite a lot of references.  Include well-known people in the field.

  2. It must be published in a peer-reviewed journal (in this case, peers would be other scientists).  In most fields, the results must be duplicated in other research environments (other labs, lab and field experiments, surveys and interviews, etc.).

  3. Every branch of science has an official journal. Your librarian can help you find one if you can't manage it on the net. Contact details will be available when you track down the journal specific to your type of research. You will then need to write a scientific report (at least 3 or 4 or 5 pages) following the traditional "scientific method" :

Abstract (the news in a nutshell)

Introduction (Background on development of the topic to date)

Method (how you researched exactly with detail that allows someone to repeat it correctly)

Results (a record of your observations with tables or graphs if necessary)

Conclusion (How it all means something)

References (the name of the author, date, journal you referred to in your report - these are a must for it to be accepted)

You then can submit your report which will be reviewed and edited by scientists in the same field of research. You might want to file a copy with your lawyer to protect your intellectual property.

If this seems a bit daunting ask a high school or tech teacher, they'll help you.

Dada - you taught the world.
