What is the process for a homeowner to rent a house through Section 8?

I have a cousin who is renting a house but doesn't know what the Section 8 program is all about. We live in Puerto Rico and I haven't been able to find any information on how the program works here.

Good luck with that one.  Any time you are dealing with the government, you are going to have some headache.  The best thing to do is contact HUD and they can give you the criteria.

This is program to help poor people rent homes they chose that they can't afford on their own. THe government might help pay 30% of the rent. It depends if the landlord willing to rent in such ways.
