I have been taught how to do it before, so I just need a refresher. I am making a small one with thin ribbon and three strands of that "fun fur" yarn. I have a small crochet needle, which is what I was taught to use.
I vaguely remember twisting (2?) of the stands of yarn around the needle, then pulling the third strand through. Is that right? Do I have the numbers wrong for a 3 strand lei?
I do that something like 5 to 10 times, right? and then somehow incorporate it into the ribbon I think. Maybe I should incorporate the ribbon on every step? I remember pushing it back on the ribbon so it would gather... I think that's why you do the 5 to 10 steps without the ribbon.
Maybe I am very wrong about this. The main things I need to know are how to pull the yarns through to make each loop, and then how to incorporate the ribbon every few steps. Seems like I would flip it over the strands.
Any help is appreciated. If you know a place with pictures that would help because I'm a visual learner.
