  1. The process is simple, JOIN THE NAVY.  The Army has a Special Forces, the Marines have Recon, the Navy has SEALs, The Puddle Pirates have rescue swimmers, and the Air Force has something I can't think of right now.  Pick a branch and a Job best suited to you.

  2. my bud joined the army just to join the navy. Why? Training.  The navy couldn't garauntee him an Intelligence job if he didnt have the training already so he joined the army to train and then found a way out to go commission in the navy. Not sure how far along hes in the process of going navy but i think he is just waiting for 6 months before he can.

From army spc to navy intel officer, not that bad eh lol

  3. Be in the US Army Special Forces for 16 years when you gain enough authority and leadership; request to your Sergeant Major and Commanding Officer that you feel that it will strengthen your leadership by possessing more skills in the underwater demolition school.

Not sure why you would want to do that!  The US Army has their own combatant diving course and applied explosives course.  If you utilize common sense, that can qualifty enough for similarities.

BUD/S if for sea-side operations, I don't see any soldier in the future that will be blowing up obstacles for passage of beach landing assaults!  That isn't the US Army's habitat, they stay ashore!  If you wanna be amphibious, join the Marines!

  4. You have to understand how silly this question sounds to those of us who have served.  If your goal is to attempt BUDS then join the Navy.  That's the only way you're going to get the chance.  If you join the Army then set your sights on Special Forces.

  5. the process is to not even sign up for the army, instead sign up for the Navy.  go talk to a recruiter, like now!

  6. The process is, finish your army enlistment,

Then enlist in the Navy and apply for bud/s.

There are no lateral transfers in the military.

Seals are all sailors in the Navy.

  7. Why are you joining the army to be in the navy?
