  1. Go to ebay.com you have to register first (like getting a blockbuser card) not sure if they're charging a fee now, but anyhow you register and then you bid on whatever. There are tips that YOU SHOULD look at under the "Buy" button. I believe it's at the top right of the screen when you go into ebay.com and after that there should be a first time buyer's section read all of it. It explains how bidding works (like don't just bid $5 if the bidding price is $5 and the item is really popular (say a rare U2 cd) b/c someone else is probably eyeing that item to, and they'll outbid you (say $6). When you do a search (similar to a library catalog search) type in the name of whatever you're looking for. Then when you see the total listings of the item check for the condition, price, and the seller's rating (which is sorta like a grade scale) they also have a number, which shows how many transactions they've done. The grade needs to be B- to A+ check the feedback and see what other buyers have said about the seller and MAKE SURE the item is in the US. (it's cool to buy outside the US, but first time i'd get sellers from here b/c they may legally scam you buy saying here is a dvd, but you not knowing might buy it and comes to find out it doesn't work because it's not a dvd in the format for the USA).

Ohhh and find out what their payment policies are. Usually they'll take check, Money Order Paypal or Credit card, some might still take cash but I DON'T RECOMMEND IT, because there's no trace of cash. Paypal is a company you sign up with that to (i think it takes like 3 days to officially be ready to transact through them). So you give paypal your check info and they act as a third party or buffer or middleman that the seller gets their money from and then seller will tell you via paypal that your item is gonna be sent to you.

First time i'd recommend buying something cheap like a cd or shirt not like a $100 dollar item.

Good luck again look on ebay.com under "buy" at the top of the screen and look for a "first time" buyers section. Plenty of pictures and stuff to look at.
