ielts is international english language testing scheme.It is of two types;

1.ielts academic and 2. ielts general category, academic tests maily for the enthusiastic students to continue their higher education mainly in UK,Canada,Australia etc. the general category is for those planning to immigrate countries like this.for appearing ielts you need min 16 yrs

and you have to register in any ielts exam centers or British councils etc..,who conducts your exam.The grading of exam is from score 9 which is awarded for proficient english language user who has best command in english and scores from 6.5to8  will be usually required for admissions for higher course7 immigration,but max you can score it is better.there is 4 parts for this 2 hr exam like reading,listening,writing and speaking.you can also select pencil writing or computer tests.Both versions are available.For more
