  1. Hi, BPO - Business process outsourcing.

A big company focusses on growing its business, growth in business means also the back process increases. This includes keeping track of things like accounts, salary, human resource, support  and various other things which basically reduces the growth potential of the company.

Companies decide to outsource ("get it done by sources outside the company") these kind of back process where by purely focussing only on the growth of the company.

BPO, there are several BPO schemes like : support, direct marketting, banking, stock, insurance - to name a few.

to start a BPO you must first need to find which scheme/line suits you better. Each line needs a particular skill and work force & also from where their business is located. Like for example you may have to know about Pharmaceutical to open up a medical transciption company (" Which is one of the easiest fields you can start a BPO").

Next a BPO basically contains many layers of processing, the master company which has leagal tye up with the outsourcing company may give out specific layers to different people for processing.

Normally the kind of investment required would be high & also getting skilled people is deficult and the pay scale is of the upper end & if u have a small company drop out rate after training will be very high. You should be very very skilled in management tactics to motivate and run the company.

How to start a BPO :

If u have prior contacts of any one u know who has one, it's easy, you can get a small segment of theor process and u can improve on that.

If u have a lot of money u can invest in infrastructure, set up a privated ltd (or) propereitorship company and contact other companies thro' proper channel.

Other wise u have to follow the time tested method -> u may have to knock the door of every BPO. If u dont have a registered company name and a business card, it might as well be an impossible task except if ur lucky to find someone who is very desperate to find a processor like you.

Once ur set up there is no other business like BPO, u get good returns for the efforts u put, which may not be a part of ur daily bread and butter in other industries.

    Best of luck
