  1. Can't really add anything to the above.  Just a few websites.

    See---

  2. Starting from the polymer which normally is polyethylene, styrene, polystyrene, and some others (see polymers) this is colored into a tumble barrel or pigments dosage just in the throat of the blower machine mixing with the virgin plastic, regrinded or a mixtures of them.

Then is fed inside with a vacuum feeder or transported into a funnel over the blower machine, the polymer passes trough a barrel with the help of a s***w which rotates inside, the barrel is heated from outside at 130 ºC approx, the polymer in this condition blend  and melt with the color and other additives, finally it is extruded through a nozzle in form of a hose, a splicer cuts the piece according the size of the container, a mold with the form of the bottle traps the molten hose, at the proper lenght, immediately a nozzle goes down and blow compressed air into the trapped hose, this takes the form of the inside of the mold which is cooled with chilled water which runs through internal channels,  the polymer takes again a solid form which is cutted at the neck with an automatic sharped knife , the mold opens and the bottle already made falls on a conveyor for final cooling and decoration.

  3. on the discovery channel, How it's made show.

I would imagine the process is the same in England.
